3rd Quarter Planning: No More Playing Catch-Up
If you’re still winging it halfway through the year, you’re behind. And that’s a problem.
We’re stepping into the 3rd quarter of 2025, and this is not the time to be scrambling, guessing, or hoping things "just work out."
I’m writing this not just as a coach or a blogger, but as a woman who has had to clean up her own chaos more times than I care to admit. There were seasons in my life when I was busy but not productive. Where I was making money, but not keeping any of it. I looked polished on the outside, but my back-end systems, business and personal, were a damn mess.
That version of me? She had to go.
So now, I plan. Relentlessly. Especially in the 3rd quarter.
Here’s what this quarter means to me:
Reinforcement. Realignment. Ruthlessness.
1. Reinforcement: What’s working needs to be fortified.
If it’s bringing in money, peace, or purpose, then double down. I don’t care if it’s a skincare routine that’s been giving you confidence every morning or a client you love working with, reinforce what’s actually working.
Personally, I realized my Sunday planning ritual was keeping me sane. So I made it non-negotiable. No matter where I am, I do it. It’s a sacred time to check on numbers, projects, my energy levels, and where I’m slacking.
You want results? Reinforce the routines and systems that already give you traction. Don’t abandon them because you got “too busy.”
2. Realignment: The halfway mark is over. Now what?
If your Q1 and Q2 goals have collected dust, stop lying to yourself. You’re not lazy, you’re distracted, disorganized, or overwhelmed. All fixable. But only if you’re honest.
Look at your original goals and ask yourself:
“Do I still want this?”
“Was I just trying to impress somebody?”
“Did I set that goal to feel busy instead of aligned?”
This quarter, I realigned everything. I dropped two services that were draining me, restructured my client onboarding to save hours of energy, and set clearer rules for who gets access to me. Why? Because I’m not in the business of bleeding energy. Not anymore.
Realignment means letting go, starting over, or reshaping something that no longer fits.
3. Ruthlessness: Cut what’s not serving you. No apologies.
Ruthless planning saves lives. Literally, I had to be cold about my time, my relationships, and my habits. It felt heartless at first, but now it feels like freedom.
One thing I cut this quarter? Entertaining long texts or calls that drain my peace. I don’t owe access to anyone. Neither do you.
If your calendar is full of people or tasks that don’t add value to your life or business, cut them. I’m not saying ghost everyone. I’m saying stop being the caretaker of distractions. That’s not your job.
Q3 is Personal. Make It Count.
This quarter is where you tighten up everything:
Finances
Boundaries
Projects
Habits
Relationships
Your image
Your sleep
Your space
You can’t pour luxury into your life if your foundation is shaky. Luxury isn’t just expensive things. It’s peace, control, privacy, energy, and the ability to say no with zero guilt.
So, here’s your checklist:
✅ Review your Q1 and Q2.
✅ Keep what’s working.
✅ Eliminate distractions.
✅ Set 3 ruthless goals.
✅ Commit to a structure.
It’s not about being perfect, it’s about being in control. Plan like your peace depends on it. Because it does.
